I was born and raised in Italy, but have always had wanderlust flowing in my veins. I have lived in Milan, San Francisco, London and now sunny Barcelona.
I have 10 years of experience in media, in particular magazine management. Over the years, I have contributed to several publications in UK, including The Sunday Times, TNT Magazine and Food & Travel Magazine. I also edit my own management on business management.
Why this blog?
First of all, because writing about travel helps me to reflect on my adventures and always remember the incredible experiences I live each time I go somewhere. Secondly, I love sharing my travel tips with people – I am no travel agent, but I have arranged trips for myself, my family and my friends since the moment I could first open an atlas.
As a proper travel junkie, I have personally visited 59 countries (and counting) and am determined to simply not rest until I have covered all 206!
There is so much to see, and so little time. It was with this in mind that I decided to call myself The Racing Explorer. I am racing against the clock to explore the whole world, and my… so much ground to cover still!
We might be surrounded by so-called “digital nomads” at the moment, but the truth is that the majority of us are not able to live on the move full-time. “What do you mean you can’t live in a hut on a Bali beach for two months?!” Still, I believe that everyone deserves to experience the world and its incredible variety… no matter how short on time they might be.
I am passionate about helping people make the most of whatever time they have available, by offering them tips and itineraries I built specifically for them. Are you friends telling you is not enough to go to Thailand? Or that you can’t see Rome in two days? I beg to differ! You might not become a local expert, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to have some incredible and authentic experiences.
If you are looking for trustworthy, easy-to-follow and practical advice on what to do on a weekend in Rio de Janeiro, 12 hours in Athens or a week in Canada’s Maritime provinces, or if you are just interested in learning more about the world, this is the place for you.
All tips on The Racing Explorer are based on my direct experience and impressions and exclusively refer to trips I have been on. I will not keep any secrets, nor will I hold any punches… If something I do while on a trip turns out to be a bad idea, I will tell you. If a hotel is just not good enough, I will make sure you know.
